Sister Cities - Perugia, Italy
Perugia is the capital of the province of Umbria. It was founded in the sixth century b.c.e. and is now home to around 150,000 people. Elements of Etruscan, Roman, Medieval, and Renaissance history and culture make Perugia the city it is today.
The city of Grand Rapids just recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of being a Sister City with the city of Perugia. A representative of the city of Perugia, Ms. Severini, joined the mayor of Grand Rapids in October 2018 to renew this long-standing Sister Cities relationship.
Kalamazoo Italian American Club
The Kalamazoo Italian American Club, or KIAC, is a locally organized association of Italian Americans and members interested in the Italian Culture and the club’s mission.
The club was founded in 2011 with the goal of providing Italian Americans with a relaxed social club and a means of celebrating and expanding Italian culture in the community. Our purpose is to foster friendship among area Italian Americans while promoting and enhancing the vibrancy of the Italian culture within the Greater Kalamazoo area.

We offer a mouthwatering selection of gourmet burgers, fries, and sweet treats, along with refreshing soda options. With such a diverse menu, we’re confident that we’ll have something to suit every taste bud.
Our food truck is specifically designed to cater to various family-friendly events, fairs, markets, concerts, festivals, and other social gatherings. We also offer catering services and have started setting up routes to serve employees during their break times. Although our menu is not extensive, we provide ample variety, so everyone can find something they like.

West Michigan Italian American Club
The Italian – American Club of West Michigan is a non-profit organization which advocates and supports the Italian American culture. We have been active since 1983, first, as a part of ‘The Italian Sons & Daughters of America,’ then, since fall 2010, as the “Italian – American Club of West Michigan.” Through events, such as the annual Christmas party, wine tastings, bus trips, a summer picnic, and cooking classes, we help develop fellowship among our members.

We are a Neapolitan style pizza food truck in the Grand Rapids area that sources from local farms. We prepare our pizzas in an artisanal way; following the authentic, tradition way using only four ingredients (Flour, Water, Salt, & Yeast). The dough is made with high quality, never bleached, artisan flour that goes through a long fermentation process.

Russo's Pizzeria bar & Grill
Since 1967, the Russo family has been changing West Michigan’s dining traditions. Joseph and Stella Russo first opened Russo’s Italian Restaurant in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a vision to provide meaningful service and delicious dining.
Their vision continued to expand in 1995, when they built Russo’s Italian Restaurant next to Leonardo’s, operating both sites. In 2011 sisters Rosa Russo-Calabrese and Ina Bottum took over and combined the two sites into one what is now Russo’s Pizza Bar and Grille. Today Russo’s Pizza Bar and Grille is owned by Brian DeBoer.
